SST Online. A local tutor network. Teachers at the heart of both.
We're inviting teachers and experienced tutors to join Sevenoaks STEM Tutors as founding members, helping us grow practical, thoughtful education online and across Sevenoaks and West Kent.
Teach your subject. Help shape the bigger picture.

Help grow SST Online
SST Online is our developing online learning programme, bringing academic understanding together with practical projects, responsible AI use and future skills.
Bring your subject expertise, suggest a course or explore how you could teach online. The school is an ambition we're building towards, not a finished programme.
Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or Computing. We also welcome experience in 11+ preparation, responsible AI, Business and entrepreneurship.
Develop practical courses
Help turn an idea into a clear learning experience. Current directions include robot-inspired physics and AI-assisted entrepreneurship. New course ideas are welcome.
Share good practice
Contribute to discussions about teaching, feedback and useful learning resources. Help shape how the network grows from the start.
You don't need to do all three. Start with the contribution that fits your expertise and availability.
Founding membership
Early involvement. Clear arrangements.
Existing founding-tutor offer
Our launch offer is 0% SST commission for the first 12 months from your first paid SST lesson, for the first 15 approved and vetted tutors. Standard commission is 5% afterwards, with no retrospective charge.
Existing private clients are excluded. Any unavoidable payment-processing costs are disclosed before an introduction is accepted. Eligibility is confirmed individually.
These are the tutoring introduction terms. Arrangements for developing or delivering group courses will be discussed separately before you commit.
Practical resources and thoughtful matching
Our growing shared STEM inventory includes equipment, models and teaching resources for practical learning, subject to availability, safe-use guidance and coordinated handover.
We take time to understand the learner and the tutor. Joining the founding network is not a promise of a fixed number of pupils or teaching hours.
What happens next
A conversation first.
Introduce yourself. Tell Ben what you teach and what you'd like to contribute.
Explore the fit. Discuss subjects, delivery, availability and any course ideas.
Complete the checks. Before introducing a tutor to a family, we require an Enhanced DBS, two references and a personal interview with Ben, plus identity, qualification and suitability checks.
Agree the arrangements. Confirm the scope and terms before any teaching or course-development work begins.
Founding membership means joining the early teaching network. It does not imply ownership, equity or a salaried appointment.
Founding teacher enquiry
Let's hear your ideas.
Tell us a little about yourself. Ben will review your enquiry and get in touch to explore whether there's a fit.
Please don't upload or paste identity documents, DBS certificates or pupil information. Evidence is requested separately if the conversation progresses.
